I assume you are familiar with Le Corbusier.
“Dude had every good idea in architecture, and then proceeded to stuff them into a monastery in France yeah?”
Correct.
But I bet you didn’t know he had one of his favourite books bound in the hide of his dead pet dog, did you?
This from the recently published book Le Corbusier: Architect of Books:
“He did bind one of his favourite books, Don Quixote, allegedly in leather made from the hide of one of his ogs, “Pinceau”, but the macabre bizzareness of such an act goes beyond the conventional fetishism of of lovers of fine books.”

You will note that:
“the contrast between the brown, very animal-like outer surface and the inner lining of bright, red-and-yellow striped fabric is very striking, making this book a most unusual object and providing evidence of a certain eccentricity on the part of Le Corbusier”
This is the evidence needed to prove Le Corbusier’s eccentricity? Calling himself “The Crow” wasn’t enough? He had to bind the adventures of a mad spaniard with the hair of a dog named “Brush”?

Funny, I happen to be reading Don Quixote at the moment/last eight months, so now all i need is a pet and eccentricity just could be mine.
Thanks to Matt for the tipoff.

Even more greusome are books bound in human skin, “The Boston Athenaeum, a private library, has an 1837 copy of George Walton’s memoirs bound in his own skin. Walton was a highwayman — a robber who specialized in ambushing travelers — and left the volume to one of his victims.”

Books shall be like persons. When you see the cover it should give you some insights. Like News, you see the title, read the first paragraph and if interested turn into the indide of the paper for the full story.
In reality there are so many alienated buyers that they end up buying the cover, and never see what’s inside.
There is maket for everything.
Wishing you a DEEPER AT&T day “Reach out and touch some one DEEP today”

Hello all swingers. More information for your life.
Since HDCAM SR offers a dual HD SDI option, recording 4:4:4 RGB video with an all but invisible compression, it is an option to use it instead of 2k. The resolution is quite similar (1,85:1 - 2048×1107 vs. 16:9 1920×1080) - and it is easier to handle. If the colorist knows what they’re doing this is quite attractive (and cost-effective) for independent film makers. It is done like that at some European post houses.

Sounds creepy but at the same time its a tribute and honor to be preserved in such a way. tEven more creepy there was an article about a cryogenics place in Arizona that would allow people to have their relatives preserved and taken home in. So one man’s wife died on their honeymoon and he had her preserved and placed in bed with him in. She has many outfits that he changes her into at any given time. Also a child on a scooter because he loved it so much and a gransparent becuase the kids missed her so much. It turned out that it was a spoof but it was a grizzly rendition of what could be comming.
