Sydney’s Barry Hall and West Coast’s Travis Gaspar are both set to miss the 2005 AFL Grand Final after being offered one-match suspensions by the match review panel.
Hall has been charged with a level two striking offence against St Kilda’s Matt Maguire in the first preliminary final at the MCG last Friday night. The panel assessed the first quarter incident as reckless conduct (two points), low impact (one point), behind play (two points) and body contact (one point).
The altercation drew a penalty of 225 demerit points - or a two-match suspension - but an early guilty plea will reduce the penalty by 25 per cent to 168.75 points and a one-game suspension.
Gaspar has also been charged with a level two striking offence against Adelaide’s Ken McGregor before the opening bounce of the second preliminary final at AAMI Stadium last Saturday.
Both players have until 10am Tuesday to decide whether to accept the offers or take the cases to the AFL Tribunal.

We went to Awaji-shima; which shooter pointed out sounds a lot like the name of a Mario Kart track… The Yunessan(?) conference centre thing was a bit odd, too much like an Ando sample pack, but the Water temple was wonderful we thought.
